On December 11, 2025, a presentation event on the topic of “Media Communication of Artificial Intelligence Standards” was held for media representatives, jointly organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Media Development Agency and the National Artificial Intelligence Center, one of the AZCON Holding companies.
The main goal of the event was to inform media representatives about the state standards adopted in the field of artificial intelligence, and to support the formation of a correct, accurate and responsible public communication environment in this field. During the meeting, media representatives were provided with detailed information about the existing regulatory framework for artificial intelligence, the essence of standardization processes and the importance of these processes for the state, business and society.
Within the framework of the event, a comprehensive presentation was demonstrated on the 8 state artificial intelligence standards adopted in Azerbaijan so far, and it was noted that the standards in question cover important areas such as unification of terminology in artificial intelligence systems, risk management, and improvement of management and reliability mechanisms. These standards play the role of the main basis for the formation of an artificial intelligence ecosystem in the country in a correct, safe and in accordance with international requirements.
During the presentation, the activities of the Technical Committee on the Standardization of Information and Communication Technologies, which includes various state and public institutions in the field, were discussed. It was noted that the process of developing and harmonizing state standards for artificial intelligence is carried out under the coordination of the Technical Committee, and the Committee, in cooperation with international technical institutions, plays an important role in ensuring the selection, development and approval of AI standards necessary for Azerbaijan. This cooperation strengthens the country's integration into global standardization initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence.
It was emphasized that the application of standards is of particular importance for the healthy and reliable development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem. The standards in question serve to ensure information accuracy, prevent false and inaccurate information, increase transparency and trust in artificial intelligence systems, properly manage risks, and safely apply innovative technologies.
