A U.S. company has suffered a cyberattack

DISA Global Solutions, a U.S.-based employee screening company, has suffered a cyberattack, compromising the personal data of 3.3 million individuals. The leaked information includes Social Security numbers, bank accounts, driver's licenses, and credit and debit card numbers.

DISA Global Solutions is one of the largest employee screening companies in the U.S., serving 55,000 clients, including 30% of Fortune 500 companies. The company provides drug and alcohol testing, background checks, and workplace safety services for employers. Due to its access to large amounts of sensitive data, DISA has become a prime target for cybercriminals.

The company has offered 12 months of free credit monitoring and identity restoration services to affected individuals. However, it has not provided additional details on how it will protect personal data in the future or prevent similar incidents. This breach highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity and the need for companies handling sensitive data to implement stricter security measures.
