Adobe Brings Photoshop to iPhones

Adobe is launching a mobile version of its popular design and editing tool, Photoshop, starting with iOS devices. The app will be available for Android devices later in the year.

The new "Photoshop for iPhone" app allows users to access a set of editing tools similar to the desktop version, optimized for mobile screens. The app offers both free and paid features. Users can also integrate it with the web version of Photoshop for an additional fee.

Free users will have access to basic tools, enabling them to remove parts of an image, change colors, or edit elements. Some AI-powered tools supported by Adobe Firefly will also be available to free users. Additionally, free users will have access to hundreds of thousands of free Adobe Stock assets and direct integration with Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom.

Paid users can link their mobile and desktop versions, seamlessly switching between the two, and gain access to all AI tools and over 20,000 fonts. The Premium subscription is available for $7.99 per month.

Adobe aims to attract younger users, especially those who are accustomed to using their smartphones for creative purposes. The company states that the app was developed from the ground up to bring Photoshop's limitless potential to the next generation of image and design enthusiasts.

Shambhavi Kadam, Adobe’s Senior Director of Product Management for Photoshop, mentioned that early testers have used the app for digital art, mood boards, podcast visuals, album covers, fashion catalogs, video thumbnails, and memes.
