Anthropic is preparing to raise $10 billion in a new investment round at a $350 billion valuation, TechCrunch has confirmed, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Anthropic, the creator of the Claude chatbot, closed a $13 billion Series F round just three months ago at a $183 billion valuation. In March, the company raised $3.5 billion at a $61.5 billion valuation. The new round nearly doubles Anthropic’s total value.
The round is reportedly being led by Coatue Management and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks, but the final amount is subject to change.
This investment will be separate from the $15 billion Nvidia and Microsoft have already invested in Anthropic. Under that deal, Anthropic will get $30 billion in computing power running on Nvidia chips via Microsoft Azure.
The new funding comes amid the popularity of its Claude Code tool and the company’s preparations for a potential IPO. Anthropic’s main rival OpenAI is also currently in talks to raise up to $100 billion at a valuation of $830 billion.
Anthropic has not officially commented on the matter.
