Apar – Baku’s first bike-sharing service celebrates its 1st anniversary

The “Apar” bike-sharing service, launched in Baku last year, is celebrating its 1st anniversary today. The company offers city residents the opportunity to rent both hybrid (orange) and mechanical (green) bikes.

Users can rent bikes both on a subscription and a one-time payment method:

Subscription plans: start at 11.99 AZN per month, and 36 AZN per year. Subscribers can use the bike up to 10 times a day, each time for 60 minutes.

One-time plan: activation is 0.40 AZN, break is 0.02 AZN, and time payment is 0.04 AZN.

Prices vary depending on the type of bike, and all details can be found on the “Apar” mobile application.

Within a year, Apar has become an alternative and environmentally friendly choice for urban transport in Baku, serving thousands of users.

The service has also had a positive impact on the development of urban mobility. Users have started to use bicycles as an alternative to cars or public transport for short daily routes. This has helped reduce traffic jams, promote a healthier lifestyle, and protect the environment. The increase in bicycle use has created new demands on urban infrastructure, fueling interest in more bicycle lanes and sustainable transport solutions.
