The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the new “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028” in order to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence. The head of state signed a relevant Order in this regard.
The document defines the promotion of research in the field of artificial intelligence, the development of information technologies, ensuring the accessibility of infrastructure and strengthening human resources as the main goals.
A number of tasks have been assigned to the Cabinet of Ministers
According to the Order, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan will coordinate the measures envisaged in the strategy and monitor their implementation. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers will submit an annual report to the President on the implementation of the strategy.
Information security will be in the spotlight
The State Service for Special Communications and Information Security will analyze information security risks in areas where artificial intelligence is applied in state institutions and take appropriate measures in this direction.
Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the strategy will be carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
This strategy will boost the development of artificial intelligence in the country and will be one of the important steps to turn Azerbaijan into one of the leading countries in this field.
