Azerbaijani founder's startup receives $100,000 investment in the US

Founded in 2024 by Vagif Kazimli, AIdMD Technologies has recently achieved several major milestones. The startup won the Third Annual USTAAR Pitch Competition, securing a $100,000 SAFE investment. It has also been selected for the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund Program (Spring 2026), receiving non-dilutive funding to support its continued growth.

One of the co-founders, Azerbaijani Yusif Gurbanli, is an integral member of the team and works as a lecturer at the University of Miami. Founder Vagif Kazimli is also affiliated with the same university, where he serves as a Research Assistant. Overall, the startup’s team is composed of individuals with strong academic and professional backgrounds.

AIdMD Technologies is developing an AI-powered clinical workflow platform aimed at reducing administrative burden on healthcare providers. The platform automates routine tasks, analyzes patient data, and integrates with existing electronic health record systems, allowing clinicians to focus more on patient care.

To strengthen product-market fit, the startup has conducted over 250 interviews with clinicians and participated in various mentorship programs. The funding will be used to further develop the technology and expand into international markets.
