Azerbaijani founder's startup wins international competition

The largest startup competition in the history of Central Eurasia, “Road to Battlefield”, has come to an end. Among the startups selected from 485 applications from 27 countries, Polygraph AI attracted special attention. Founded by a young Azerbaijani founder, this startup has won the right to participate in TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 as one of the 4 winners of the competition.

The competition was organized in partnership with Silkroad Innovation Hub, TechCrunch and Freedom Holding and is considered a historic turning point on the innovation map of the region. In the final stage, Polygraph AI (Azerbaijan-USA), QuickShipper (Georgia), Surfaice (Kazakhstan-USA) and ArtSkin (Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan) were selected as the winners.

Polygraph AI provides fast and accurate locally implemented solutions for detecting and protecting against artificial intelligence threats. The founder of the startup, Yagub Rahimov, said that their goal is to become a leader in artificial intelligence security not only in the region, but also globally:
“We have already achieved success in international competitions such as South by Southwest and Summerfest Tech AI Summit. Now our goal is to become the winner of the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield.”

Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Digital Development and Innovation Agency, said about the competition:
“This success of Polygraph AI shows that the Azerbaijani startup ecosystem is developing rapidly. This further strengthens our country’s position on the global innovation map.”

It should be noted that the winners will take the stage alongside the world’s most promising startups at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 event, which will be held in San Francisco on October 27-29.
