Caucasus Ventures is the first venture capital fund of Azerbaijan. The fund has been operating since the beginning of 2023. It was established by the partnership of the state, private and private individuals.
The capital of Caucasus Ventures is 11.3 million manats. Innovation and Digital Development Agency invested 5 million manats in the fund, "PASHA Holding" Group of Companies invested 5 million manats, and individual entrepreneurs invested 1.3 million manats. The "General Partner" of the fund is Mammad Karim. Caucasus Ventures investment ticket size is 50-200 thousand dollars.
The fund has invested in 15 startups so far. The startups invested by the fund are startups from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries. Caucasus Ventures mainly prefers startups that want to open an office in Azerbaijan or do B2B sales to Azerbaijan.
It is reported that the total amount of investment in 2023 is 730 thousand dollars.
Although the fund has invested in 4 Azerbaijani startups so far, there are Azerbaijanis among the founders of other invested startups.
The fund continues to invest. According to expectations, the capital of "Caucasus Ventures" will be increased this year.
