Caucasus Ventures Representatives Attend EU-Startups Summit 2026 in Malta

Caucasus Ventures General Partner Mammad Karim and Entrepreneur in Residence Vusal Karimli attended the EU-Startups Summit 2026, held in Malta between May 7–8, 2026. The summit brought together founders, investors, innovation leaders, and startup ecosystem stakeholders from across Europe.

As part of the visit, the Caucasus Ventures delegation met with Attila Sandor, Chairman and CEO of MeOut Group, and Tamas Tuske, Innovation Director of MeOut Group, to discuss opportunities for regional collaboration and ecosystem development.

The meeting focused on several key topics, including the potential organization of an EU Startups event in Baku, regional fund of funds initiatives, and the opportunities and incentives provided by the Azerbaijani government to support startups and innovation-driven businesses.

Eastern Europe remains one of the key regions where Caucasus Ventures actively invests. Currently, approximately 25% of the firm’s portfolio consists of startups from Eastern Europe, reflecting the company’s long-term commitment to supporting high-growth technology ventures across the broader region.

Caucasus Ventures emphasized its commitment to building stronger connections between Azerbaijan and the broader European startup ecosystem. The discussions also highlighted Baku’s growing role as an emerging innovation hub in the region.

The company expressed optimism about future collaborations with European partners and its mission to position Baku more prominently on the European startup ecosystem map.
