CBA to take measures against digital theft

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) intends to implement several measures in connection with cases of theft from the card accounts of citizens of the country. This was stated by Vusal Khalilov, Deputy Chairman of the CBA Board, at today's press conference.
"Non-cash payments are increasing, and cases of fraud are also increasing. This can be observed in all countries. Unfortunately, such cases are also increasing in Azerbaijan. This is mainly due to the fact that citizens share their personal information. The CBA will first update the rules for information and cybersecurity in the financial sector from March of this year. This will have a certain positive effect. At the same time, educational work will be carried out in the media together with financial institutions," Vusal Khalilov said in his statement.
