According to the information provided to Oxu.Az by the Main State Traffic Police Department, although chips were once intended for the purpose of electronic transmission and identification of information about vehicles, as a result of the renewal of the Central Information System, as well as the improvement of modern radar, camera and license plate recognition systems, this functionality is now implemented using more efficient and modern technological methods, so there is no need to apply chips.
The currently presented state registration plates fully meet all technical, safety and quality standards.
It should be noted that this innovation applies only to newly issued state registration plates and there is no need to change existing license plates.
