New details and concept videos of Apple’s first foldable smartphone, iPhone Fold, have generated significant interest in the tech world. The latest visuals shared by well-known insider Jon Prosser provide an early look at the device’s design and features. According to reports, Apple is preparing to unveil this revolutionary device in fall 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 series.

The new model is expected to feature a book-style foldable design, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup. However, Apple’s main goal is to completely eliminate the visible crease that appears in the center when the screen is folded. To achieve this, the company is reportedly using liquid metal components and internal metal plates that evenly distribute pressure. The device is said to feature a 7.8-inch main display when unfolded and a 5.5-inch external display when folded.

In terms of hardware, the iPhone Fold is rumored to be extremely thin, measuring just 4.5 mm when unfolded. Due to space limitations, Apple is expected to drop Face ID and instead integrate Touch ID into the power button. The device is also expected to feature two rear cameras and one front camera on both the inner and outer displays.

As for pricing, users should expect a premium price tag. According to experts and insiders, the iPhone Fold could cost between $2,000 and $2,500, making it one of the most expensive and premium smartphones on the market.
