Crusoe acquires Israeli startup Atero for $150 million

U.S. artificial intelligence infrastructure company Crusoe has acquired Atero, an Israeli startup developing technology for GPU management and optimization. The deal, valued at approximately $150 million in cash and stock, marks a significant step for Crusoe in expanding its technological capabilities.

As part of the acquisition, Atero’s 25 employees will join Crusoe and establish the company’s research and development (R&D) center in Israel. Atero was founded in July 2024 by Alon Yariv (CEO) and Omer Landau (CTO).

Through this technology, Crusoe aims to enhance the performance and efficiency of GPU clusters, enabling its clients to maximize the benefits of artificial intelligence solutions.

Crusoe’s co-founder and CEO, Chase Lochmiller, emphasized that Atero’s expertise in high-performance computing will be crucial in optimizing GPU usage and delivering greater value to customers.

The opening of Crusoe’s first office in Tel Aviv will allow the company to leverage the region’s skilled workforce and provide better services to its global clients.

Atero CEO Alon Yariv added:
“When we founded Atero, our goal was to transform the industry with our technology, and joining Crusoe is the fastest way to achieve that mission.”
