Until then, this position was held by Inara Valiyeva since 2023.
It should be noted that Farid Osmanov graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Credit of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a bachelor's and master's degrees. F. Osmanov also graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a degree in information technologies in the world economy, and later received a master's degree in information systems and management from the University of Manchester, Great Britain.
He has worked in various positions in the Information Technologies Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) since 2005, and was appointed director of that department in 2013. Since 2020, he has continued his work as the Director General of the CBA.
Farid Osmanov has served as Advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport since August 2024.
