Farid Osmanov resigned from the position of director of the Central Bank

Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Farid Tofig oglu Osmanov, has resigned.
He is a specialist who has worked in various positions in the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 19 years and has made important achievements in the field of information technologies of the bank. His career began in 2005 as a leading specialist. A year later, in 2006, he was promoted to the position of chief specialist, where he worked for almost two years and made important contributions to the technological development of the bank.

In 2007, he was appointed the head of the information technology development department and, working in this position for more than two years, did great work in the direction of the modernization of the bank's technological infrastructure and systems. In 2010, he was promoted to the position of deputy director, where he worked for three and a half years and played an important role in the formation and implementation of the bank's IT strategy.

In 2013, he was appointed the director of the Department of Information Technologies and successfully performed this position for 6 and a half years. Under his leadership, the bank's technological capabilities have been further expanded and systems that meet modern requirements have been established.

In January 2020, he was appointed to the position of executive director and continues to play an important role in the general management and strategic development of the bank. Under his leadership, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has made significant contributions to the development of the country's financial sector, paying special attention to technological innovations and digitization.
