FBI warns: "Don't use power sources in public places!"

The FBI is warning users not to use public phone charging stations to avoid exposing their devices to malware.
Public USB stations in shopping malls and airports are reportedly being used by hackers to spread malware and monitoring software.
"Bring your own charger and USB cable and use a power outlet instead," the agency tweeted.
Drew Paik told CNN, “The cable you use to charge your phone is also used to send data from your phone to other devices. For example, when you connect your iPhone to your Mac with a charging cable, you can download photos from your phone to your computer.
If a port is compromised, there is no limit to what information a hacker can obtain. This includes your email, text messages, photos and contacts.”
