Getir, one of Turkey's most successful startups, has partnered with Uber Eats. As part of this collaboration, starting today, Uber Eats users in the United Kingdom will have access to Getir's delivery network. With this partnership, Uber Eats has expanded its offerings to include over 2000 non-food items. Previously used primarily for meal delivery, Uber Eats can now ensure the speedy delivery of grocery and other essential items.
Getir was Turkey's first decacorn startup, but in the past two years, it lost nearly 80% of its value. In August, Getir was valued at $2.5 billion. Faced with these challenges, Getir had expressed its intention to seek investments.
All of these developments indicate that 2023 has not been an easy year for Getir. Against this backdrop, the partnership with Uber Eats marks the beginning of a new phase of development for Getir.
