International venture capital firm Golden Gate Ventures has announced the opening of a new office in Uzbekistan. The information was disclosed at the 2026 Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The company’s activities in the country will be carried out within the framework of a partnership with the Uzbekistan-Oman Investment Company (UzOman). UzOman will participate in the new initiative as an institutional limited partner (LP). At the same time, a separate memorandum signed with IT PARK Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures will create a cooperation mechanism for the development of startups and the expansion of joint investment opportunities.
The main goal of the new office is to build an investment and innovation bridge between Uzbekistan and the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) regions. In this context, Uzbek startups will gain access to MENA markets and capital, while companies in Golden Gate Ventures’ MENA portfolio will gain access to the Central Asian market.
The fund’s investment priorities include financial technologies (fintech), artificial intelligence solutions for businesses (B2B AI), e-commerce, logistics and clean energy.
According to experts, Golden Gate Ventures' entry into the Uzbek market is another important step in the development of the country's venture investment ecosystem and shows that Uzbekistan is becoming an attractive center for international investors.
