Google officially unveiled its newest phones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, at its Made by Google event on October 4. These new models are equipped with Google's latest Tensor G3 processor and bring many innovative features.
Google Pixel 8 comes with a 6.2-inch 120Hz refresh rate display, 2000 nits brightness, 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera and 4485mAh battery capacity. The price is set at $699 for the 128GB storage option and $759 for the 256GB.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro model is distinguished by its 6.7-inch screen, dynamic 1-120Hz refresh rate, 2400 nits brightness and 5050 mAh battery capacity. Its camera has 50MP primary, 48MP telephoto (5x optical zoom) and 48MP ultra-wide lens options. The Pixel 8 Pro also has a thermometer function that allows you to measure the temperature of objects with the phone. The Pro model is priced at $999 for 128GB, $1059 for 256GB and $1399 for 1TB.
Both models feature Google's latest AI and machine learning capabilities. These include Google Assistant powered by artificial intelligence that automatically summarizes text, Call Filtering features that block unwanted calls.
Pre-orders started on October 4 and the phones will go on sale on October 12.
