In 2025, U.S. startups have raised $100 billion in investments

The number of AI startups in the U.S. securing investments exceeding $100 million is increasing in 2025.

Last year, 49 AI startups in the U.S. raised $100 million or more. Among them, three received multiple large investments within the year, and seven companies secured over $1 billion in funding.

As of early 2025, the number of AI startups in the U.S. that have raised more than $100 million has already reached nine. The largest investment recorded so far this year has exceeded $1 billion.

JANUARY
ElevenLabs is a startup specializing in synthetic voice technology. On January 30, the company announced a $180 million Series C funding round, bringing its valuation to over $3 billion. The investment round was led by ICONIQ Growth and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sequoia, NEA, and Salesforce Ventures.

Hippocratic AI develops large language models for the healthcare sector. On January 9, the company announced a $141 million Series B funding round, raising its valuation to $1.6 billion. Kleiner Perkins led the investment round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia, and General Catalyst.

FEBRUARY
Together AI focuses on open-source generative AI and infrastructure for AI model development. On February 20, the company raised $305 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its valuation to $3.3 billion. The round was co-led by Prosperity7 and General Catalyst, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Nvidia, and Lux Capital.

Lambda operates in AI infrastructure. On February 19, the company announced a $480 million Series D funding round, increasing its valuation to $2.5 billion. The investment round was led by SGW and Andra Capital, with participation from Nvidia, G Squared, and ARK Invest.

Abridge, based in Pittsburgh, is an AI platform that transcribes doctor-patient conversations. On February 17, the company announced a $250 million Series D funding round, raising its valuation to $2.75 billion. The round was led by IVP and Elad Gil, with Lightspeed, Redpoint, and Spark Capital also investing.

Eudia is an AI-powered legal tech startup. On February 13, the company secured a $105 million Series A funding round. General Catalyst led the investment round, with contributions from Floodgate, Defy Ventures, and Everywhere Ventures.

EnCharge AI provides advanced AI hardware solutions. On February 13, the company raised $100 million in a Series B funding round. The investment round was led by Tiger Global, with participation from Scout Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and RTX Ventures.

Harvey is an AI-driven legal solutions company. On February 12, the company announced a $300 million Series D funding round, bringing its valuation to $3 billion. The round was led by Sequoia, with additional investment from OpenAI Startup Fund, Kleiner Perkins, and Elad Gil.

MARCH
Anthropic is a leading AI research startup specializing in large language models. On March 3, the company announced a $3.5 billion Series E funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and General Catalyst. The company is now valued at $61.5 billion.
