Intel is holding talks with Apple to support its operations and regain its position in the market. The main focus of the discussions is Apple’s potential investment in Intel’s chip manufacturing.
The talks also cover other ways of establishing a “closer” partnership between the two companies. However, sources note that negotiations are still at an early stage and may not result in an agreement. It is reported that Intel has approached other companies with similar proposals.
Even if a deal is reached, analysts highlight that the likelihood of Apple returning to Intel chips is low. Currently, Apple uses its own processors, which are manufactured by TSMC.
In recent years, Intel has faced a decline in market share, leading to financial difficulties, slower growth, and staff layoffs.
In August 2025, Intel agreed to give 10% of its shares to the U.S. government. Commerce Secretary Howard Latnik stated that the government intends to convert grants approved during former President Joe Biden’s administration into equity.
In September 2025, Nvidia announced a $5 billion investment in Intel. Both companies also plan to advance joint chip production.
These talks are seen as part of Intel’s efforts to improve its financial situation and restore its strength in the technology market.
