Apple’s next-generation smartphone — the iPhone 18 Pro — may offer full internet connectivity via satellites. According to international technology outlets such as Business Standard and MacRumors, the upcoming model could go beyond the current emergency-only satellite functions to provide a real 5G-level internet connection through space-based networks.
At present, iPhones support satellite connectivity only for limited features such as “Emergency SOS via Satellite,” “Find My,” and “Messages via Satellite.”
However, recent reports suggest that Apple is exploring a partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service and T-Mobile. If this collaboration materializes, iPhone 18 Pro users could access the internet directly via satellite, without relying on cell towers or mobile networks.
Experts believe this development could mark a revolutionary shift in the mobile communications industry. While Apple has yet to officially confirm the feature, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to be unveiled in the fall of 2026.
