Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov reported at a large government meeting on the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the country. According to him, artificial intelligence is currently being used in the process of decision-making based on big data in the fields of social protection, ecology, emergencies and industry.
The role of artificial intelligence in public services is increasing
Bektenov announced that in 2024, an artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant will be fully implemented in the process of providing public services. This system will offer and explain the necessary services to citizens in accordance with their situation when they apply.
Kazakhstan's first artificial intelligence language model - KazLLM
The Prime Minister also announced the creation of Kazakhstan's first domestic artificial intelligence language model "KazLLM". In addition, this year, 100 thousand students will be trained in practical knowledge on the application of artificial intelligence in economic areas within the framework of the "AI-Sana" program.
Training of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence has been launched at 20 universities in the country, and a separate quota has been allocated for this area within the framework of the "Bolashak" program.

Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the importance of accelerating the development of artificial intelligence. He considers it important to integrate artificial intelligence elements into the e-government system and widely use them in "Smart City" projects.
