Kazakhstan’s startup Biometric to supply identification solutions for Central Bank of Kyrgyzstan

Biometric, a leading Kazakh developer of biometric solutions and a participant of Astana Hub, has announced the signing of an official contract with INFOCOM Kyrgyzstan, the national operator centrally servicing the country’s government and financial institutions. Under the agreement, Biometric will provide biometric identification services based on Liveness Detection for the Central Bank of Kyrgyzstan.

The Liveness Detection technology allows for highly accurate determination of whether a face is that of a real person or a forgery. It is already successfully used in banks and other financial institutions, ensuring reliable client identification.

“This contract is a significant milestone for our company. We are proud to be one of the three providers selected by the Kyrgyz government to service the country's financial market. The trust placed in us at the state level confirms the high quality and reliability of our technologies. It also demonstrates that international markets are increasingly trusting Kazakh developments. We are successfully collaborating with international companies such as Binance and expanding our presence at the governmental levels of other countries,” said Alibek Narymbay, CEO of Biometric.

The company will provide a full range of technologies to service Kyrgyzstan’s financial market, including Document Recognition for extracting data from documents using a smartphone camera, Liveness Detection for verifying user "liveness," Face2Face Detection for real-time face comparison with images from documents or databases, and Face Search for rapid identification of individuals in large databases.

Alibek Narymbay noted that Astana Hub played a crucial role in Biometric's successful entry into international markets, offering the startup tax incentives and acceleration opportunities through the Silkway Accelerator and Alchemist Accelerator programs. Biometric is actively expanding its global presence, collaborating with partners in Kyrgyzstan, establishing an office in Delaware (USA), and exploring opportunities in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Malaysia, as well as in Latin America, targeting the Mexican market.

Biometric currently serves over 35 B2B clients and has more than 100 pilot projects with various countries and businesses utilizing its identification solutions. The company, now five years old, was recently ranked 37th among the top 500 AI companies globally.
