The first national artificial intelligence platform in Kyrgyzstan — “Aitil” — has officially been launched. The State Commission on the State Language under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic announced the introduction of the country's first AI-powered digital platform operating entirely in the Kyrgyz language.
Now publicly accessible at www.aitil.kg, the platform was developed to promote the Kyrgyz language in the digital space and integrate it into modern technologies.
“Aitil” is the first AI product with extensive functionality in the Kyrgyz language, offering users the following features:
Converting written Kyrgyz text into audio format
Speech recognition and voice-to-text transcription
An intelligent chatbot assistant
Translation from Kyrgyz into 10 world languages and vice versa
Automatic translation of YouTube videos into Kyrgyz
Extracting Kyrgyz text from PDF files and images
In a statement, the State Language Commission emphasized that the launch of “Aitil” marks one of the most significant steps toward the digitalization of the Kyrgyz language. The Commission expressed confidence that the platform will serve as a powerful tool for the development, dissemination, and use of the Kyrgyz language in the modern digital era.
The developers noted that the platform is still in its self-learning stage, meaning occasional errors or inaccuracies may occur. Additionally, under heavy usage, the system may operate more slowly.
Special thanks were extended to all specialists involved in the development process, particularly the technical partner — UlutSoft.
“Aitil” was created under a national state program aimed at supporting and advancing the Kyrgyz language through the use of digital and linguistic technologies.
