Veterinary services and preventive measures against animal diseases will be further strengthened in Azerbaijan next year.
This was stated by Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Agrarian Policy, Family, Women and Children's Affairs, and Science and Education held today.
According to him, vaccination measures to protect livestock from diseases continue at state expense: "Vaccination of livestock against anthrax, foot and mouth disease, brucellosis, rabies and other infectious diseases is carried out at state expense."
The Minister noted that 41.9 million manats are planned to be allocated next year for the organization of veterinary services, the purchase of vaccines and veterinary supplies: "We have applied to increase the amount planned by 3 million manats for more efficient organization of this area."
M. Mammadov emphasized that the funds allocated for plant protection and agrochemical services have also been increased.
According to him, in 2026, 5.4 million manats are planned for pest control measures, and 8.2 million manats for agrochemical analyzes and seed control.
