Meta has announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with the popular image and video creation software, Midjourney.
Under this agreement, Midjourney’s technology will be integrated into Meta’s future AI programs and products. Meta’s AI Director, Alexander Wang, stated that this collaboration is part of a strategy to provide better products to users.
This partnership will allow Meta to develop new image and video creation tools capable of competing with advanced AI tools such as OpenAI’s Sora, Google’s Veo, and others.
It is worth noting that last year, Meta introduced its own image creation tool, Imagine, on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. The company also has an AI program called Movie Gen, which generates videos based on text input.
Reports indicate that Meta is in talks with other major AI companies and has even considered acquiring Midjourney.
