Microsoft is working on an image-based artificial intelligence model for cancer diagnosis. In collaboration with Paige, who is famous in the field of pathology, a model of about four million microscopic slides is created. This model is trained on billions of images.
The goal of this artificial intelligence model is to prevent misdiagnoses by detecting details that might be missed in tissue examinations performed by pathologists on glass slides.
