Digital transformation is important for every economy, including Azerbaijan, which is now developing domestic generative artificial intelligence.
Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said this in an interview with China's CGTN TV channel.
"Similar artificial intelligence solutions are implemented by leading "blue chip" companies - both public and private sector companies. This is a space where things are changing at the speed of light, so I think the investments in this area will continue. It is also necessary to increase awareness in order to provide a proper bridge between education and economy. Information about human capital is a necessary element not only to stay in the race, but also to make sure that it has a positive impact on the economic development and prosperity of the country," the minister said.
According to him, Azerbaijan was the first country in the CIS and the region to create the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution (4SIM), which, together with other private, state and government institutions, is leading the process of increasing the speed of digitization, especially in the economy, as well as in other areas of Azerbaijan. .
Notably, generative AI can improve industrial automation, develop new software code, and improve transportation safety through automatic synthesis of video, audio, images, and more. This initiative aims to stimulate the development of artificial intelligence platforms that speak fluent Azerbaijani and have Azerbaijani content.

According to the most conservative estimates of "MarketsandMarkets", the volume of the global artificial intelligence market in 2023 was 150.2 billion US dollars. "Next Move Strategy Consulting" estimates that the global artificial intelligence market is more than 200 billion US dollars. The most optimistic information is from the Indian consulting company "Fortune Business Insights". According to his predictions, by 2030 the artificial intelligence market will grow from 515.31 billion US dollars in 2023 to 2 trillion US dollars. At the same time, according to analysts, the average annual growth rate will be 21.6-36.8%. According to Goldman Sachs' forecast, the economic impact of artificial intelligence technologies may reach 7 trillion US dollars globally over the next 10 years.
