“Baku Metro” CJSC, one of the AZCON Holding companies, has made another innovation in line with the transition to the requirements of the digital world.
Keeping up with technological innovations and modern trends, passengers in the Baku Metro will now be able to pay their fares with all local bank cards that support NFC, as well as “Apple Pay” and “Google Pay”. In parallel, payment with “BakiKart”, “BirBank” and “M10” remains valid.
The payment method, which has been applied in a trial mode for some time, has already been implemented at all stations of the metro.
The innovation was successfully tested at the stations of the Purple Line.
Even if there is no balance on the bank cards when using NFC, passengers will be given the opportunity to make a one-time pass. However, if the balance is not increased, payment with the card will be automatically blocked.
It should be noted that although currently it is necessary to wait 10 minutes to make a pass with the same card from the same turnstile, it is possible to make a payment with the same card without waiting at another turnstile.
