Nvidia is preparing to make a major investment in Poolside, a startup developing artificial intelligence models for software coding. According to Bloomberg, the chipmaker could invest between $500 million and $1 billion as part of Poolside’s ongoing $2 billion funding round, which would value the company at $12 billion.
This wouldn’t be Nvidia’s first investment in Poolside — the company previously participated in a $500 million funding round in October 2024.
Already an active investor in AI startups, Nvidia has been expanding its portfolio across multiple sectors. Recently, it announced plans to invest $500 million in UK-based self-driving tech firm Wayve and purchased $5 billion worth of Intel shares to strengthen future cooperation in chip manufacturing.
