Kazakhstan will issue information cards with QR codes to tourists for a safe stay in the country. These cards will be provided when passing through border control and upon entry into the country.
Tourists will be able to scan the QR code to access the multilingual platform SafeTravel.kz. On this platform, tourists can contact the police, reach emergency services, access city maps, taxi services, telecommunications operators, and obtain instructions for various emergency situations.
In January 2025, an information center for tourists opened in the city of Karaganda. Here, vacationers will receive advice on where to stay, which places to visit, and where to go.
According to Finprom.kz, a record number of Russian citizens visited Kazakhstan in the first nine months of 2024 — a total of 2.2 million trips. From January to October, they spent the most, amounting to 1.8 billion tenge (34 million USD as of February 5, 2025).
