"ASAN service" "DIGIAGE BAKU 2024" digital game camp was held

On September 20-22 of this year, the "DIGIAGE - Baku" digital game camp was held under the joint organization of the "Innovations Center" of the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and "Information Valley Baku".
The goal is for talented young people to develop games and promote their projects with the participation of professional mentors. Also, supporting them in the direction of gaining experience in entering the world market and launching new initiatives are the main goals. In this framework, young people developed different game concepts by encouraging their innovation and creativity, along with developing teamwork, project presentation and marketing skills. They also received practical tips for networking and career development from professionals.
100 participants selected among 175 registered participants were given recommendations on investment in game studios, legal processes in game companies, game marketing process, development and production process within 1 month.
In the 3-day camp, the participants who completed the admission stages took part in team or individual form. They were informed about the latest software used in game creation process, different aspects of game development, career opportunities in this sector. Motivational stories of well-known companies and game designers were shared with the participants.

During the camp, the director of "Innovations Center" Vusal Rustamov and the chief executive director of "Information Valley" Erkam Tüzgen familiarized the camp with the work of the teams.

In the end, 11 teams presented their prepared games and were evaluated by the jury.

Investment meetings with the potential teams "Untitle", "Risee Interactive" and "Legions" will continue, they will be provided with mentoring support. "DIGIAGE" will continue to provide mentoring support to all teams.

In the first camp, which was held from September 7 to 9 last year, investment was allocated to 5 teams of 14 teams considered to have relevant potential, and free office space was provided in the "Information Valley Baku" campus. In total, 11 out of 14 teams were supported by "Information Valley" to increase their investment potential by providing mentoring support.

The camps are organized based on the cooperation memorandum signed in 2023 between the "Center of Innovations" and "Information Valley Baku". The goal is joint development of technological skills and training. At the same time, joint preparation of projects based on the hackathon and bootcamp models that will encourage the application and development of innovative solutions in our country are priorities.
