"BrainGame" intellectual game hackathon is implemented in Azerbaijan in order to promote processes in the field of creating intellectual games, create new game-based solutions and increase the intellectual potential of society. The hackathon is held by "Innovations Center" LLC under the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations with the support of Azerlotoreya OJSC.
The purpose of the competition
- Stimulation of innovative activity and formation of healthy competition;
- Creation of new intellectual game prototypes
- Support of new ideas among IT specialists;
- Developing the ability to work in a team;
- Introducing talented children to society.
The format of the competition
In general, the competition consists of 3 stages, which are a logical continuation of each other.
The first stage
By registering through the created special registration link, team members and sending a presentation on the solution to be created;
The second stage
Preparing the form of the design samples of the solution to be created using mobile application design tools (figma, etc.) and sending it to the specified address;
The third stage
Creating solutions and making presentations in front of judges.
Formation of teams
Teams of at least 3 and maximum 5 people over 14 years of age can participate in the competition. Participants can apply to the competition only as a team. At least one of the team members is required to be an IT specialist.
Terms of the competition
- At least 3, maximum 5 people over 14 years old in the competition. Such teams can participate.
- At least one of the team members must be an IT specialist.
- The application to be created must not have been presented in any competition before, and at the same time it must not be made available to the public.
- The application must not be placed in the mobile application market (App store or Play market) before.
Application rules
- By November 6, 2023, participants must register through a special registration link created by "Innovation Center" LLC and send a presentation about their team members and the solution they will create.
- After the initial selection, the selected teams must prepare and send the design examples of the solution they will create using mobile application design tools (figma, etc.) by November 20, 2023.
Evaluation mechanism
In the second stage of the competition, the following criteria related to intellectual games will be evaluated by the judges:
- intellectual game design and ease of use;
- possibility of integration with other mobile applications;
- corporate brand (logo, color and design elements);
- the social and economic usefulness of the created games for society.
In the third stage, projects are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- solving the given task within the given time;
- the idea put forward in the direction of solving the problem;
- correctness of the task, design and creative approach;
- the quality of teamwork.

- proper use of resources
- presentation of a suitable solution to the problem
Rules for awarding participants
The 3 (three) most successful teams, determined by the judges' vote, are awarded with diplomas and the following prizes:
- 1st place winner 5000 AZN;
- II place winner 2000 AZN;
- III place winner 1000 AZN.
- Incentive prize for 2 people
All other participants are awarded with a certificate.
