The "Turkic Game Jam 2025" (TGJ) hackathon will be held in order to contribute to the development of the gaming industry and bring together talented game developers in the Turkic region. Organized by "Gamepons" and initiated by the "Turkish Game Developers Association" (TuGDA), this international event will take place simultaneously in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The organizers for Azerbaijan will be "Gamepons", "IGDA Azerbaijan" and "Alas Academy".
What is "Turkic Game Jam 2025"?
The main goal of the hackathon is to bring together young talents interested in game development and to promote and develop the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples through games.
The event will consist of two main stages:
1. Local Stage
A special theme will be announced to the participants at the opening ceremony.
Teams will develop a working game prototype within 48 hours according to that theme.
The submitted projects will be evaluated by a jury of local experts.
The best team from each country will qualify for the Grand Final.
2. Grand Final – Baku 2025
The winning teams from each country’s local stage will come together in Baku to present their games at an international level.
Here, the games will be evaluated by a professional jury from different countries.
The best team in the final stage will compete for a prize.
In the coming years, the Grand Final will rotate among the participating countries.
Who can participate?
Each team must consist of 2-6 people.
Each team member must register individually.
