At CES 2026, Razer introduced an updated version of its AI assistant for games called Project Ava. The new version now works in the form of a desktop hologram instead of a regular window on the screen.
Users get a 5.5-inch capsule that can be placed next to the monitor. Inside the capsule is an animated avatar. Currently, there are two main avatars: Kira in an anime style in a green dress and Zane with tattoos, a muscular man. In the future, real people — for example, cyber athletes, as well as neutral forms (such as a glowing sphere) will be added.
The hologram is equipped with its own camera and microphones, and constantly monitors the user and the processes on the screen. The assistant gives advice during the game, helps to build tactics, answers questions and can perform daily tasks. To activate it, it is enough to press a pre-programmed button.
Razer used the Grok model in the presentation, but the company said that in the future it will support various AI models of Project Ava. Currently, the assistant has a general understanding of the situation in the game, but some details — for example, the exact model of the weapon — cannot always be correctly recognized.
