Samsung introduced the highly anticipated new Galaxy S24 series very recently on January 17 at 21:00 CET. As expected, the technology giant appeared before users with three models. The series, which has undergone significant changes from design to hardware and software, stands out with the Galaxy AI motto. Samsung's new smartphone series consists of three models, as expected: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + and Galaxy S24 Ultra. In this article, we will focus on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models and share the details.
Along with the entire series, there are also design changes in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models. However, Samsung maintains its general design language in this generation. While the Galaxy S24 continues to be the most compact model of the family with its 6.2-inch screen size, the Galaxy S24 Plus offers users a large screen with 6.7 inches.
In terms of design, Samsung is changing the rounded edge design in this generation and using flatter frames. Samsung also used this in the new Galaxy A models. On the other hand, there is no design difference between the two phones other than size. While there is a flat screen with a rounded corner design and a front camera on the front, there is a triple camera setup arranged one under the other on the back. Color options include Yellow, Purple, Grey, Black, Green, Sapphire Blue and Orange.
In addition, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models feature Armor Aluminum material. This will offer 10 percent higher stiffness compared to previous models and increase durability.
Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are the same in terms of camera and do not differ in terms of hardware. Essentially, there are no changes in the cameras with the previous generation. However, there is an increase in camera performance with artificial intelligence, software and new hardware.
Both phones have a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide sensor, 10MP 3X telephoto and 12MP front camera. Both phones can record videos at 8K resolution.
In terms of screen, Samsung once again shows its strength in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models.
Galaxy S24 offers FHD + 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution on its 6.2-inch screen. This screen can offer 120Hz, HDR10+ and 2600 nits (maximum) brightness when using a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel. Protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass Armor.
On the Galaxy S24 Plus side, QHD + 1440 x 3088 pixel resolution is offered on the 6.7 inch screen. This screen can also offer 120Hz, HDR10+ and 2600 nits (maximum) brightness when using a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel. Protection is again provided by Corning Gorilla Glass Armor.
Although we cannot see any hardware changes in the cameras, there are software improvements. With the Space Zoom feature, high resolution can be achieved with artificial intelligence's deep learning technology.
