Electric snowmobile rentals have been launched in the Russian cities of Tyumen, Omsk and Kirov through the urban mobility service MTS Yurent.
It was reported that users can rent electric snowmobiles, which are winter transport, directly through the MTS Yurent mobile application. Currently, the service is available only in these three cities, but during the winter holidays it is planned to expand to dozens of cities in the Urals, Siberia and the Moscow region.
The rental process is the same as renting an electric scooter or bicycle: the user finds the nearest device on the map, scans the QR code, selects a tariff and starts using it. Electric snowmobiles are indicated on the map with a special icon.
According to the company, in terms of design, snowmobiles are similar to snowmobiles, but are less powerful. Unlike electric scooters, snowmobiles can only be used in specially permitted areas - mainly in parks and squares. The device stops automatically when leaving the permitted zone.
The maximum speed of electric snowmobiles is 10 km/h, and the carrying limit is 120 kg. The rental fee per minute starts from 62.5 rubles, depending on the tariff.
