Spotify, the world's most popular online music and podcast platform, is working on a new feature. The feature, discovered in Spotify's beta codes, will allow users to optionally disable the "personal recommendations" feature.
While users generally receive recommendations based on their listening habits, the new feature will give users who don't like the feature the ability to turn it off at any time. The feature may especially please users who use shared accounts. For example, different users sharing the same account will be able to prevent personal recommendations from getting mixed up.
Although no official announcement was made by Spotify, the company spokesperson said in a statement that the new function has not yet been introduced to a wide range of users and is in the "evaluation" phase. Spotify will continue to improve the feature based on user feedback.
