The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Center was inaugurated

The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Center (Creative Center), established by the Ministry of Culture, was inaugurated on December 28.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.

Minister of Culture Adil Karimli informed Leyla Aliyeva about the conditions created at the Center.

It was noted that the main goal of the Creative Center is to support young talents, improve their qualifications and create conditions for the realization of their creative potential. It is also to implement projects in the field of cultural and creative industries, support the formation and development of new entrepreneurial entities and startups in this field. It is also to help increase the creation and export of local creative products and services, and attract talented young people from the regions in relevant areas.

It was noted that the Creative Center is currently implementing a number of successful projects, including 3 incubation programs: Music, Gametech, Cultech. 20 new startups have already been created within the framework of these programs, and in total more than 50 residents use the services of the Center.

Adil Karimli noted that the “Creative Talks” project has been implemented since 2023, organized by the ministry. The “Creative Talks” project is an educational initiative that promotes the development of skills in the fields of culture and creativity in the capital and regions and is aimed at supporting the formation of creative subjects.

The center holds master classes and trainings on the use of artificial intelligence in the fields of animation, music and film industry, design, and creativity within the framework of the “Ai4Art” project. More than 200 young people participate in these educational programs. The center also includes the “Creative Market” market platform and the “Creative Edu.az” training center.

It has photo and video, recording, animation, dance and other studios equipped with modern technologies for the creation of high-quality works in various creative fields.

The partners of the Creative Center include both local institutions, organizations, and foreign international organizations.

It should be noted that the Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (Creative Center) was approved by the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan on July 22, 2022. The Center was established by the Ministry of Culture in 2024 for the purpose of implementing the Action Plan for the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026".
