The Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport regularly takes measures to prevent electronic threats against users and investigate cyber-attacks. The institution cooperates with local and foreign companies in order to identify the sources of cyber attacks.
ETX, together with the local cyber security start-up "Cypho", which is also a member of the graduates of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center, investigated cases of cyber fraud that resulted in the capture of bank and personal information by giving fake lottery and winning promises to citizens on behalf of the country's prestigious banks and financial organizations.
As a result of the investigation, the database of card data belonging to about 13,000 citizens of various banks, which were seized by cyber fraudsters in the last two months, was discovered. The obtained information will be presented to inform the affected citizens.
ETX advises citizens to be careful about such situations and to contact that institution first if they come across information related to campaigns carried out by any institution, or to clarify by visiting the institution's official website. Also, citizens who encounter these situations are requested to report to the Electronic Security Service via the "1654" hotline or the e-mail address [email protected].
