The number of bicycles for rent in Baku has increased significantly. This information is contained in the report of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) for 2025.
The report states that while in 2024 900 bicycles were rented in the capital, in 2025 this figure increased to 2,200. As a result, the number of bicycles increased by 144 percent.
It is noted that bicycles in Baku are rented through the “Apar” mobile application. The increase indicates an increased interest in alternative and ecological modes of transport in the city.
