The training sessions conducted by "Azercosmos" GIS experts on practical skills related to real work processes have been successfully completed as part of the "ArcGIS for Students" program. This program is implemented in collaboration with the Analysis and Coordination Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) and “Esri,” one of the world's leading companies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
During the closing ceremony, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of Azerbaijan Technical University, Fariz Mammadov, welcomed the training participants and expressed his gratitude for their active participation.
Soltan Bayramov, Deputy Executive Director of 4SIM, highlighted the organization's initiatives aimed at developing human capital in the field of Industry 4.0.
Ilgar Abdullayev, Adviser on Space Law Issues to the Board of "Azercosmos," emphasized that the project has provided students with valuable knowledge. He also noted that the increasing demand for GIS professionals both in the country and globally opens up new opportunities for young specialists.
The training sessions, held at Azerbaijan Technical University, were attended by students from the University of Economics, Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Throughout the program, students acquired knowledge and skills related to working with spatial data, practical application of ArcGIS Pro, and the implementation of GIS technologies.
At the end of the program, participants who successfully completed the training were awarded certificates.
