The volume of SOCAR's investments in Turkey so far has been announced

SOCAR has invested more than 18.5 billion US dollars in the Turkish economy over the past 17 years (since 2008).

This was stated by Elchin Ibadov, CEO of SOCAR Türkiye (representing SOCAR's interests in Turkey), during a press conference in Istanbul.

According to him, the mentioned investments have made SOCAR Türkiye the largest foreign investor in Turkey.

Elchin Ibadov also noted that SOCAR started operating in the country in 2008 by purchasing 51% of Petkim shares from the Privatization Administration of the Republic of Turkey for 2 billion 40 million US dollars.

"SOCAR, Turkey's largest foreign investor, has invested a total of 18.5 billion US dollars in Turkey over the past 17 years," Elchin Ibadov noted.
