The company is taking this situation, which affects some Rav4 models manufactured between 2013 and 2018, seriously, and is not yet reporting any fire or injury incidents. But he says this battery problem could pose an engine fire risk. To reduce the risk of fire, Toyota plans to replace the battery assemblies and related components. Toyota will inform Rav4 owners about this situation and make necessary repairs.
