GlobalX, the airline used in Donald Trump's extensive deportation campaign, has reportedly been targeted by a cyberattack. According to reports, the attack resulted in the company’s official website being defaced, and the hackers shared the stolen data with the public. It is believed that individuals affiliated with the prominent hacktivist group "Anonymous" are behind the attack.
In their statement, the hackers noted that the Trump administration had ignored several court orders regarding the unlawful deportation of Salvadoran citizens and declared they were "enforcing" those orders on their behalf: "You and your sycophantic staff ignored lawful court orders that opposed your fascist plans, so Anonymous took it upon itself to enforce the decision."
U.S. courts had previously ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully deported Salvadoran citizens and ordered their return.
GlobalX has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
