TSMC, one of the world's largest chip manufacturers, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The company's revenue increased by 35% year-on-year to 1.134 trillion Taiwan dollars (about 35.71 billion US dollars).
According to analysts' expectations, this figure was predicted to be at 1.125 trillion Taiwan dollars (about 35.39 billion dollars). Thus, the company managed to exceed market expectations.
The main reason for the growth is the rapid increase in demand for artificial intelligence technologies. In particular, the increase in the need for chip production for AI-based products and services has seriously affected TSMC's revenues.
It should be noted that the company is one of the main suppliers of technology giants such as Nvidia and Apple.
