Bluesky Introduces New Platform to Compete with Instagram: "Flashes"
After making a name for itself in competition with X (formerly Twitter), Bluesky is now aiming to compete with Instagram. The company has announced its new platform called "Flashes" that will be launched soon. This platform is built on Bluesky's AT protocol and was developed by Sebastian Vogelsang.
How does Flashes work?
There will be mutual integration between the Bluesky and Flashes platforms. That is, the content you share on Bluesky will appear on Flashes, and the posts on Flashes will appear on Bluesky.
According to Sebastian Vogelsang, Flashes will not be a direct copy of Instagram. The platform will offer users the opportunity to share a maximum of 4 photos or 1-minute videos. However, Vogelsang noted that Flashes will not yet have as advanced features as Instagram.
Innovations continue rapidly in the world of technology, and Flashes is trying to find its place as an alternative to Instagram. The platform is expected to be introduced in the coming weeks.
