UAE to invest $1.4 trillion in the US

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will invest 1.4 trillion dollars in the United States. This significant step aims to deepen the UAE’s investment relations with the US. The UAE is making this investment to reduce its dependence on energy and become a global player in artificial intelligence and advanced technology.

Senior officials from the UAE government announced their decision to invest 1.4 trillion dollars in the US over the next 10 years following discussions with Donald Trump. This investment plan was officially declared by the White House.

Although most of the investments consist of previously announced projects, the only new initiative under this agreement is the construction of the first aluminum smelter in the US in 35 years by Emirates Global Aluminium. With the launch of this facility, domestic aluminum production in the US is expected to nearly double. A representative from Emirates Global Aluminium stated that establishing primary aluminum production in the US has long been one of the company’s strategic goals.

Additionally, a 25-billion-dollar joint venture has been established between the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ) and the US-based private equity firm Energy Capital Partners. This fund will be directed toward energy infrastructure and data center projects.
